Phubbing…Why Are People Now Jealous of Your Cell Phone?

Anthony Dufresne Dating and Relationships, Podcasts

Phubbing is a thing…and, believe it or not, it’s not some crazy sex thing or gross body function issue. Phubbing is the impact your phone has with your interactions, and it’s becoming a problem when it comes to giving your undivided attention to someone that is sitting right in front of you.

In today’s episode, Lexi and Tony first define what phubbing is and then go about asking such questions as:

– Why does it have such a stupid name?
– It is really as big a deal as people say it is?
– Should you really care?
– If you find yourself phubbing or in the presence of a phubber…what should you do?

Interestingly enough, it has been found that a cell phone, just sitting on the table in front of two people, can have a measurable impact on their interaction.

Lexi talks about how pissed off she gets that some people are so attached to their phone that they don’t even look up at servers anymore when giving their order.

She also makes a good point about phubbing…is it such a big thing now because social media is TELLING us it’s a big thing?

Believe it or not, some people get suspicious when you put your phone down on the table face down instead of face up…What the hell??

Lex and Tony explain the circumstances when it would be ok to have your phone out during an interaction.

Lex shares the best move a guy can make on a first date (hint: is has something to do with his phone).

Lex and Tony then end the show by talking about how important PERCEPTION is and how it can make your life awesome or a piece of crap…yes, it’s THAT important!!
